Government inspectors have praised North Beckton Primary School in the latest Ofsted report.Ofsted inspectors visited the school and were so impressed that they gave it a Grade 1 (outstanding) for all its categories.

They described pupils as being “valued” and commented that “they make excellent progress and work and play together in harmony”.

The school staff were found to “form a close and committed team and ensure that the school provides a haven of stability and security for its pupils”. The inspectors put this down to the head teacher’s “exemplary leadership and management”.

Councillor Quintin Peppiatt, executive adviser for children and young people, visited the school to congratulate children and staff. He said: “Manjit Rai and her team have worked tremendously hard to make the school such a huge success and the children, parents and governors have been very supportive. As soon as you enter the school, you can immediately tell that it is a warm and welcoming place. It is a truly inclusive school, where all children learn well together and make remarkable achievements. They thoroughly deserve such a brilliant Ofsted report.”
