Building up business

At a recent event hosted by West Ham United, local businesses had the chance to find out what their Labour Council is doing to help through the tougher times.

Businesses had the chance to meet with the council and a range of organisations - including Laing O'Rouke, the Olympic Delivery Authority, Workplace Newham, Business support agencies and Neighbouring boroughs - to build contacts and skills to enable them to sell more effectively.

Mayor of Newham, Robin Wales said:

“We need to work together during the tougher times to help our residents and the businesses they rely on for employment and services.  This is just one of the ways we’re helping.

Due to the Olympics and Stratford City, we’ve got lots happening in our borough.  I’m determined that local people will get the benefits of this and events like these are crucial to realising this goal.”
