Bryan was elected as the Councillor for Canning Town South at the 2010 local elections.
Bryan has lived in E16 for over 36 years moving in to ta tower block in Freemasons Road in 1975. He has been a school governor since that time and currently serves of the Governing Body of three schools in the south of the borough.
He has been actively involved with getting more things for young people to do in Newham. Bryan helped set up a youth club in the 1970s and he currently Chairs the IMPS Motor Cycle Display Team, the Newham District Scouts Association, the 11th Newham Scouts and the Jack Cornwall Sea and 282 Squadron Cadets.
Bryan was previously a Councillor in Newham for 12 years and during this time he chaired the Newham Churches liaising committee and Community Affairs. He also set up the Newham Lay Visiting Panel and Chaired it for seven years.
Bryan has a long history of working in Canning Town - he used to manage and Borough Volunteer Support Service. He know sthe area and what its need are and knows that by working together, we can make Canning Town a better place for everyone.
